Photos:: Fire burns part of Kumasi central market

Kumasi Central market per reports captured on Citinewsroom has been clown on fire with five fire fighters striving to put the fire off.

Shops at the Dr Mensah enclave of the Kumasi Central Market are being burnt to ashes as onlookers and shop owners watch helplessly as their properties get destroyed.

The site is close to a fuel station where traders who sell foodstuffs and ingredients ply their trade for a decent living.

This is the second time this particular area known for the sales of second clothing has caught fire.

The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
